My bedroom makeover

Here is the reveal: my bedroom makeover is now completely done! It has taken a long time but it really worth it. 
I have followed the exact steps as for my guest bedroom makeover: painting white walls, converting, repurposing and refreshing furniture on a budget. 
I actually reused two trash treasures I had at home: the shutter on headboard (click here to read fully tutorial) and this tulip chandelier I found a few months ago. 

Since the very beginning of this project my intention has been focused on creating two completely different bed sides... Yes, I love differences and a non-symetric style in interior design. 
I painted one of the nightstands, removed the twin one and put my old books trunk. I also only had one tulip lamp fixed on one side and two on the other one. 

In terms of colors I used Olive and Emperor's silk from A. Sloan. I used milk paint for the dresser and the mirror. The lovely pantry table is from a garage sale and you can read all about it clicking here.

My side is definitely "me". I think it enhances what I love: colors, travel memories, identity... 
These empty frames were all white before and I turned them into a colorful wall decor. My mum purchased this photo of Manhattan from a gallery in NY about 20 years ago, the orange basket is from Senegal and was a gift from my friend Martine. I purchased the Martin Luther King's speech from an African American museum in Boston, MA and had it framed by a local craft shop since then. 
On the other side I added this caricature of us made from a street cartoonist in Prague.
