It's been a long time since I was interested in this Becara's design for a coffee table, which stopped me was the price (1.800€)...
Until the day we had a brilliant idea for the design: from solid oak floorboards and a metal reinforced metal base.
I made a few color tests to find the right tone.
Et voilà: a homemade coffee table for only €150. An industrial touch is added since the iron is pure, just welded! Apply 2 coats of anti-rust treatment and you're done.
I decided to enhance brightness and used the A. Sloan Chalk paint, sanding paper and white wax. Hot gun was a must…Check out the AFTER.
