My toys trunk

When I mentioned how many trunks we have at home I was not joking: the one for the books, the one I lined, the luggage one… I have plenty of them and they are all in use.

The last one is actually our TV console which was my toys trunk in my childhood. How many times did I open it to move all my toys away and returned them back to it? I don't know but this wonderful piece of solid wood is still there and just need some restoration so I have to manage and do it.

As I did for the luggage ones (see pictures 1 and 3) and after a long wood worn treatment/restoration I applied asphalt with a brush and removed excess with a cloth. I used heat gun while waxing Annie Sloan clear wax and that’s it! Here is the final result!

Anne, It looks gorgeous. What did you apply? asphalt? I've never heard of that before. What does it do?
